Everything a Jersey personal tax return needs, and nothing it does not

Jerenta does one job properly: Jersey personal tax, from client intake through to filing. It is not a bookkeeping, payroll or accounts production system, and it does not pretend to be.

Client portal

Every client signs in to a portal carrying your firm's name, logo and colours. Their dashboard shows the return they are working on, what is outstanding and anything your team has asked them for.

Checklist-driven document collection

Each case carries a checklist of the documents that return needs. Clients upload against the item they belong to, so nothing arrives as an unlabelled attachment, and both sides always see the same outstanding list.

Guided return intake, all fifteen sections

The client is walked through the return one section at a time, with progress saved as they go:

  • Personal details
  • Residence
  • Employment
  • Pensions
  • Social security
  • Investments
  • Property & rent-a-room
  • Self-employment
  • Reliefs & deductions
  • Other income
  • Dependants
  • Partnership income
  • ISV income
  • Jersey distributions
  • Shareholder loans

Staff case workspace

One screen per case holding the intake answers, the documents, internal notes and the information requests raised with the client. Cases move through prepare, review and approve, and the transitions are kept as history.

Revenue Jersey submission

An approved return is submitted to Revenue Jersey and the result is recorded against the case, so the filing position of every client is visible in one place.

Prior-year comparison

This year's figures set beside last year's, so a number that has moved unexpectedly is caught during review rather than after an assessment lands.

Appeals

Appeals are managed from the case they belong to, with a printable statutory notice generated from the record.

Reports

Practice-wide views of where cases stand and what documents are still missing, so the run-up to the deadline is a list rather than a guess.

Invitations and role-based access

People only see what their role allows:

  • Client — their own return and documents
  • Spouse or civil partner — contributes to the same return
  • Tax preparer — prepares assigned cases
  • Senior reviewer — reviews and approves
  • Administrator — users, settings and branding
  • Operations — health and operational views

White-label branding

Your administrator sets the firm name, tagline, logo, colours and contact details from inside the portal. No rebuild, no ticket to us. The only fixed mark is a small "Powered by Jerenta" line.
