Jerenta exists because Jersey personal tax is specific enough that general-purpose practice software never quite fits, and important enough that a spreadsheet and an inbox is not good enough.
Where it came from
The platform grew out of the way a working practice actually collects a Jersey personal tax return: a client who needs the questions in plain language, a list of documents that has to be chased, a preparer who needs everything in one place, and a reviewer who has to be able to say no before anything is filed. Each of those is a feature here because each of them was a problem first.
Why one instance per firm
Most software of this kind puts every customer in one database and separates them with a column. We do not. Each firm gets its own deployment, its own database and its own subdomain. It costs us more to run and it is the answer we would want to hear as a client of your firm.
Why it is white-label
Your clients are your clients. They sign in to your firm's name, your logo and your colours, set by your own administrator from inside the portal — no rebuild, no request to us. The only thing we keep is a small "Powered by Jerenta" line, so the people responsible for the software are identifiable if anyone needs to ask.
Scope, honestly
Jerenta is Jersey personal tax: client intake, document collection, preparation, review, filing with Revenue Jersey, prior-year comparison and appeals. It is not bookkeeping, payroll, VAT or accounts production, and we would rather tell you that now than in month two.
